Technology Working Group (TWG)

Purpose

The Technology Working Group explores digital strategies, tools, and practices that strengthen hybrid service delivery and support digital transformation across the sector. 

Mandate

Enhance the capacity of SPOs to innovate in online service delivery, while organizations also work to enhance digital capacity skills and practices for their staff.

Relationship to Governance Structure

Operates under SIPPC to support national planning related to digital and hybrid service delivery and consults with the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity working group as necessary. 

Quarterly Highlights

Prepared targeted technology roundtable questions for the Small Centres Coordination Meeting to better understand the digital needs of smaller and rural SPOs
Co-hosted a joint TWG–DPC session at Metropolis focused on co-creating recommended tools and resources for the settlement sector
Completed an environmental scan including a review of the NSCT report, previous Service Delivery Improvement projects, and relevant international approaches to digitalization
Administered a 55-question national joint TWG-DPC sector survey and began analysis to identify sector-wide digital capacity needs, gaps, and opportunities. A total of 116 SPOs responded to the national survey.
