Settlement and Integration Policy and Program Committee (SIPPC)

Purpose

SIPPC consists of sector umbrella leaders who meet quarterly with IRCC to focus on national settlement and integration policies.

Mandate

To foster dialogue on policy and program issues, identify emerging sector trends, and develop system-wide approaches to support settlement and integration outcomes.

Key Areas of Focus

  • Identify policy and program trends
  • Assess emerging issues affecting newcomers
  • Examine innovation and promising practices
  • Provide feedback on IRCC policy directions

Relationship to Governance Structure

Working Groups are created under SIPPC direction, reflecting the committee’s role in advancing national policy discussions. SIPPC has two active working groups, the Collaborative Table on Anti-Racism, the Technology Working Group, as well as a Joint SIPPC-SISDC Health of the Sector Working Group.
