Purpose
NSIC is a bi-annual forum where Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), provincial and territorial representatives, and sector representatives come together to review national settlement and integration priorities. It supports coordinated dialogue on system-level issues and provides direction for the broader governance structure.
Mandate
NSIC examines overarching trends, progress, and priorities affecting newcomer-serving systems across Canada. It provides high-level input into federal policy directions and supports alignment across National Bodies and Working Groups.

NSIC serves as a core national convening body and receives updates from SIPPC, SISDC, and all Working Groups.
